Sarah Reed is a lover of all things yoga. She started practicing while she was in high school after injuring her shoulders as a swimmer and soon after completed a teacher-training program at a local yoga studio in her hometown.
Since starting school at the U in 2011, Reed has continued to practice yoga on a frequent basis. In addition to practicing at CorePower Yoga in Minneapolis and teaching at the U’s rec center, she puts her skills to work once a year for her sorority’s cause, which is raising money to combat diabetes.
Reed says that this year’s Downdogs for Diabetes philanthropy event hosted by Alpha Gamma Delta was the biggest yet, with around 200 participants.
